Muslim World Biz @Jakarta - Travelog Day 6

Last day of exhibition - Shopping first

Today is the last day of exhibition. After observing the crowd yesterday, we decided to take a break in the morning and went for shopping at Tanah Abang.

In front of the hotel
As normal days, woke up at 4am and update my blogs. After solah subuh, I read some articles related to my studies and then went for breakfast around 7am.

The main road was so relaxing
Around 8am, we move to Tanah Abang. The first things that amazed us was the crowd in front of the hotel. In turn out that the road (along Jalan Sudirman and Jalan Tamrin - the main road of Jakarta city) was closed for all vehicles except public transports (only bus). So, there are many people cycling, walking, jogging, etc. Take few pictures of it :)

Lets go for a walk
We went there by walking. Not far from our hotel. It is about 1km from it. I bought only Rp600k to shops. We arrived around 9am and not many shops was opened. I was told that it starts at 9am but actually should go there around 10am if you wish to see more variety and more shops.

The first pit stops was a shops that sold ladies prayer clothes. Bought 3 for my sisters and mother. Not sure if it really fit them or not. Hope so... :)

Then went around and bought few prayer mat man and kain batik for ladies (for my team member). My colleague bought something but don't know what it was (can't recall).

The final pit stops after when all around and due to the money on hand was left to only Rp200k, is the shops known for lots of batik shirts (Javanese style). It is the cheapest (that suits our body) compared to others. I bought 4 which cost me around Rp135k. Here are some of the pictures taken :)

Steady...
Around 10.00 am, after an hour of walks and shops, we decided to went back to hotel and ready to go to our exhibitions center. After all, both of us are man and man doesn't shops that long ... hahaha.

We use bajak, a 3-tyre vehicles and the best is that it can reverse.. hahaha better than motorbike. :) and lots more stable too. The cost was Rp15k.

In the Bajak

The final day.. relax bro

Back to Exhibition

We arrive at the exhibition center around 11.30am. It tooks us almost an hour of journey due to the main road was closed till 12pm. So, the taxi had to used internal (behind house and old road with many traffic-lights).

They are many visitors but more on fashion and food. I bought Al-Quran (Al-Quran Cordoba) which cost me around Rp265,500 or equivalent to RM96. If I bought here in Malaysia, that kind of Al-Quran will definitely at least RM200. Inside it, there is Tafsir Jalalain, At-tabari, etc. and Hadith, and stories related to it. So, if you had time, go and search for this and bought it :).

The Perak Govt. team discussed on time to pack
Then, stay at our booth till 1pm. Around 2pm, we went for lunch and met an Acheh guy. I have Nasi Padang with leleh (cat fish) and also ice-tea (es teh). The Acheh guy hope we could develop a smaller version to be used in smaller building like home. He said that most of the houses in Acheh really have frequent disruption of power supply. I mentioned that it might be due to insufficient power supply from their distributor which he told me that the had the power supply from another state in Indonesia. hmm... can't do much.

After solah, I was told that the Queen (winner) of Duta Muslimah Sejagad walk around and will take pictures with anyone wished to do that. I thought I miss that but then had the opportunity when she agreed to drop by at my booth. I was able to take few pictures with her but using my phone. Somehow, my camera, on the hand of others does not work at that time.... huhuhu.. but it is fine with the phone too :)

Large crowd after lunch but looking for food and clothes

Around 3pm, we saw many of Malaysian traders, companies, etc pack their things. So, we decided to join them and pack our things too. We start off earlier than our neighbor but end up finish around 4.30pm - later than them. They already went back around 4pm.

During packing, many visitors drop by asking about our panel, our things, etc... and few asking why we pack earlier... but we still entertain them and shares our system too. :).

Finish packing around 4.45pm, took some pictures of the goods and decided to move back to hotel as already set with our logistics counterpart. They promised to pick our goods around 5.30pm.

Shops at Tamrin City

We took taxi and change our plan. Got taxi around 5.10pm and we went to Tamrin City. It was still opened compared to Tanah Abang. Reached there around 5.30pm. I went a circle on the first floor (I guess.. don't went up or down from the main door) and drop by at small shops managed by a lady call wati. I was lucky as she was the only shops that have clothes for kids and I managed to just getting the clothes for my kids, but also for my mother-in-law and my kids nephew. :). All of it cost me around Rp400k...

Looking for good clothes :)
Wati.. the owner.. selling at good price :)

Nasi Goreng Gila 1.5 (extra everything.. hehehe)

Around 7pm, we took cab and back to hotel... I went to Nasi Goreng Gila restaurant and have the same food but this time I try the Teh Botol. It was good and I had 2 for it. :).

After eating, when back to hotel... took a good bath, pray and then sleep as I wish to go to Tanah Abang tomorrow morning before my flight :).
